Memorial Day Weekend 2008

The summer finally arrived and the whole Ash family has a cold! We were still able to make it up to Jeremy's parents lakehouse on Lake Tippecanoe about 2 hours north of us. The girls were troopers and managed to make new friends regardless of feeling pretty crappy. We also had a blast spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Sadler again! We are back to the doctor today to get to the bottom of this thing, so hopefully it will be resolved soon. The only way Lilly went down last night was a drive around in the car. We've never had to do that before and at 4 bucks a gallon, dad won't let it become a habit! We went on our first boat ride and the girls hated their lifejackets (Addy especially), I'll have to post pics of that trauma later b/c it is on Grandpa Dave's camera. Here are other pics...

Grandma Linda and Lilly hanging out on the pier
Addy playing in a blow-up ball pit that Grandma Jody and I found at a garage sale--it was a steal and the girls loved it!
Lilly showing off walking with mom
Addy and Lilly hanging out with David and Mike Wiley, you can tell they weren't feeling well, but they loved flirting with their new boyfriends...

Addy and Lilly- I missed reading the blog while on vacation with Auntie Cat and Joanna! Don't worry though, we talked about how cute both of you are the WHOLE time!

Addy and Lilly- Life jackets save lives! just ask Auntie Cat for the story about kayaking looking at the fish ;)

Addy & Lilly -

I did miss you on my vacay to Costa Rica! We certainly did talk about you and how cute & smart you both are! Your friend Lili is right though, life jackets are important because sometimes in life we make friends with people who cannot swim for $hit, let's call this person Joanna. And you and Joanna go kayaking at an all-inclusive resort in a third world country. You, being a little genius, do know how to swim, so if you accidentally fall overboard do know how to swim to shore instead of just sitting in your own kayak laughing. This is obviously just a story-not based on real life events.

Anway Addy and Lilly - I am making plans to come and visit you this summer - you are after all turning the big 1!!

Lil-nice shoes;)
